Increase interest in the science of weather reporting and forecasting.

This provided a leadership opportunity for learning weather science, creating an appropriate script with the science teacher, working with the video crews in the control and studio rooms to get the map on Chroma Key, set the stage, and deliver a weather report on camera. Several practice rehearsals were also needed before taping.
