Author Talk - Janie Panagopoulos - 56K

The Itasca Public Library and the Peacock Media Center collaborated on a state grant provided through the DuPage Library System to secure noted historical author, Janie Panagopolous to make presentations on historical fiction to grades 6,7, and 8. Students learned about the process of historical research, the craft of historical fiction writing, and the books created by Ms. Panagopolous. They had opportunities to ask questions, video tape her, and do video book talks on other book titles in the same genre.

A video tape of the event was given to all grant parties, including the State of Illinois Library in Springfield.
