Introduction
Peacock Middle School School School Improvement Plan (SIP)

The following presentation represents F. E. Peacock Jr. High School’s School Improvement Plan (SIP) for the 1999-00 school year. The staff began the task of defining its mission and goals following the lead of Itasca Public School District 10’s Board of Education, which created a district-wide mission and set of goals for the 1999-00 school year in the spring of 1998.

The process for developing Peacock’s SIP began with our building’s Leadership Council, consisting of team leaders and the principal. By creating the framework at the Council level for the establishment of goals, team leaders broke off into their respective groups and subsequently created team and grade level goals and measurement features that will direct Peacock’s efforts throughout the 1999-00 school year. Within this process, teams also identified strengths and weaknesses that exist at Peacock. Utilizing this information along with demographic data, student achievement data, student and staff feedback, as well as community feedback from surveys a school improvement plan was created.
