Prompt attendance at rehearsals and performances is required. If you are tardy or absent due to illness, family emergency or vacation, a written explanation from your parent or guardian is required. Tardiness (excluding bus delays) or absence for any other reason is marked unexcused and will affect your grade.

UNEXCUSED ABSENCES
1st unexcused rehearsal absence = "Forgiveness Absence"
• 0 points deducted (student must notify Mr. Travis in writing within 1 week)
• limit 1 per grading quarter
• cannot be taken the week of a performance
• may be exchanged for 5 bonus points

2nd unexcused rehearsal absence
• 6 points deducted
• communication with parent

3rd unexcused absence
• asked to leave program

UNEXCUSED REHEARSAL TARDINESS
1st and 2nd unexcused rehearsal tardiness
• 2 points deducted each rehearsal

3rd unexcused rehearsal tardiness
• 2 points deducted
• BAT assigned for lunch

4th unexcused rehearsal tardiness
• 2 points deducted
• BAT assigned for lunch and communication with parent

5th unexcused rehearsal tardiness
• asked to leave the program

All absences and tardiness will be charted weekly on the back bulletin board as follows:

Au = unexcused absence Ae = excused absence FA = forgiveness absence

Tu = unexcused tardy Te = excused tardy
