The final results of the scan sheet version of The Stock Market Game TM are in and teams at Peacock swept the region!
Suzee R. won 1st in the region (against other Middle Schools) and 2nd in the State (against prestigious HIGH SCHOOLS) in the STOCK MARKET GAMETM. Her investment in Krispy Kreme netted her a profit of $47,467 in just ten weeks.
Suzee used EXCEL spreadsheets to track Krispy Kreme earlier in the year during Mr. Dan Peel’s GREENSTUFF ECONOMICS - The Money Book unit of study in 7th grade Social Studies. She used a combination of fundamental analysis, technical analysis, site visitations, and especially taste tests!
She also benefited from the school’s partnership with the ITASCA BANK & TRUST CO. and JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT.
Megan K., Lindsey M., and Steph J. won 2nd in the region and 3rd in the State. They made $32,631 in ten weeks for an annualized return of 169%!
Doug H. and Justin W. won 3rd in the region (A CLEAN SWEEP of the region). They made $22,586 in ten weeks for an annualized return of 117%.
Peacock has a very small percent of the teams in the game and statistically should NOT win even ONCE in a DECADE! Yet, Peel’s teams have won 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in the STATE SIXTEEN TIMES IN SEVENTEEN YEARS!
