GradingGrades will be based on a point system. You will earn points from your notebook, homework, projects, tests/quizzes, and participation. Your final grade will be determined by adding all of the points you earn by the total number of points possible.
HomeworkIn order to receive full credit for homework, it must completed on time and done completely. Partial credit will be given on the amount completed.
ProjectsA variety of individual, partner, and group projects will be assigned throughout the year. These projects are often worth as many points as major tests.
Tests/QuizzesAt the end of each chapter there will be a test. Spanish tests and quizzes are given in a variety of formats including multiple choice, true/false; fill in the blank, etc.
Topics covered this year in Spanish are:Primer Paso (First step)Vocabulary to describe what is your name, where are you from, when is your birthday, how old are you, where do you live, what is your phone number, classroom objectives and commands, days of the week, numbers, months, seasons, colors, and Spanish Speaking Countries.
Capítulo 1 (Chapter 1) Vocabulary to describe friendships likes and dislikes, personality, characteristics (Physical&Personal), sports, and leisure activities
Capítulo 2 (Chapter 2) Vocabulary to describe school supplies, subjects, schedules, time telling, and numbers
Capítulo 3 (Chapter 3) Vocabulary to describe public buildings and places, introduction of regular and irregular verbs, AR, ER, IR verbs, and leisure time activities
Capítulo 4 (Chapter 4) Vocabulary to describe food and products, and the hablar and comer verbs
Capítulo 5 (Chapter 5) Vocabulary to describe family, physical characteristics, age, numbers, and possessive adjectives |
