PLAY BACKYARD SPORTS: A Computer Game Review
    by Jon

There are seven "Backyard Sports" computer games. The "Backyard Sports" games let you play sports. They are football, soccer, baseball, and basketball. You play against the computer. When you play the newer games there are professional players.

I think the "Backyard Sports" games are fun to play, but hard to win. My favorite is "Backyard Football 2002."

    You should try them all!

    CRAZY ABOUT DOGS
    by Alexis

The dog is one of the most popular pets in the world. When a person decides to own a dog, they should take good care of it so it stays healthy. Dogs come in different sizes and colors. Dogs are nice to people when they are trained well. Dogs can be police dogs and hunting dogs and also fighting dogs, too. Dogs love children. Dogs need a lot of water and food. Dogs become very loyal to their owners.

I can go on and on about dogs!

    OUR FAMILY TRIP
    by Eric

We took a family trip to Arizona last March. My sister, my brother, my mom, dad, and I flew there on a jet. Once we got to the airport we rented a car. Our hotel was called The Pointe. It was a blast. There were two pools, and I didn't know which was which. One of them had a lazy inner tube ride, a waterfall, volleyball, and basketball too. We also went miniature golfing at the hotel by the pools. Everyone in my family went sun tanning except me because I was in the pool all the time. I met a friend there named Mikey. He did fake drowns. They had the best cookies in the world there too. We took a drive one day and saw tons of cacti and brown grass and hills. My favorite part was the shaped suckers. The gun sucker tasted like cotton candy. It was the best. That was my only vacation to Arizona, and it was awesome!!!!

CATCH THE NEXT WRESTLING PAY-PER-VIEW EVENT
    by Ed

On "Survivor Series," there's going to be a match to see. Who's going out of business? There are five men on each team. The five guys on the WWF's Team are: Kane, Undertaker, The Rock, The Big Show, and Chris Jerico. The five guys on the Alliance Team are: Booker-T, Rob Van Dam, Stone Cold, Kurt Angle, and Shane McMahon. The losers of the match will lose their jobs. Who do you think will win?

    MY DOG SABA
    by Karolina

I like my dog Saba. When she goes
outside, I play with her. Sometimes she likes
to jump on people. She loves my sister Nicole
more than me because my sister got her when
she was eight years old. Saba was very little
when my sister got her. Saba is not so small
    now!

    SAGITTARIUS
    by Jorge

Sagittarius has been my guider constellation since I was born. He is half horse and half man. He has 25 stars.

I like Sagittarius. He is my friend ... or is he? He has a bow and arrow. The Big Dipper constellation looks like a bow with a handle.

    MAKING FLUBBER

I am in Mrs. McWeeney's class. My article is about my favorite science experiment. With help from a grown-up and a few ingredients, you can make Flubber. Actually, making Flubber is part chemistry. My mom calls Flubber a polymer, but I call it way cool. Flubber stretches, bounces, oozes and flattens out like a pancake. This is what you will need and how to mix the stuff.

    1 cup of Elmer's glue
    1/2 cup warm water
    food coloring (any color)
    2 teaspoons of Borax
    1/4 cup warm water
    2 bowls

In one bowl mix glue, 1/2 cup warm water, and food coloring. In the other bowl, mix Borax and water. While mixing glue, water, and food coloring with your hand, slowly add the Borax mixture. Bingo! Flubber. You can store Flubber in a plastic bag for weeks.

Happy Experimenting! This is Patrick Ward signing off.
