The Itasca School District #10 Board of Education will conduct a public hearing on Wednesday, February 9th, 2000, at 7:30 p.m. in the Itasca Village Hall, 100 North Walnut Street, Itasca, Illinois. This public hearing is regarding the district’s Application for Waiver of the School Code Mandate to declare February 12th as a school holiday for the Birthday of Abraham Lincoln. The district intends to honor and celebrate President Lincoln’s birthday by having students study his contributions, life and legacy on the actual day of his birth.
