Minutes of the Board of Education special meeting held Wednesday, April 26th, 2000, in the Itasca School District #10 Administrative Office, 200 North Maple Street, Itasca.
The purpose of the special meeting was to plan the superintendent interview/hiring process with Dr. Dave Willard of Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates, Ltd.
I.
President Lynch called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m. with the following ROLL CALL:

President Lynch welcomed visitors to the meeting.
III.
President Lynch turned the meeting over to Dr. Willard and Dr. Parks.
Dr. Willard reviewed a packet of information that had been previously provided to members of the Board of Education. This packet included a tentative calendar for the interview/hiring process. Dates were discussed for interviewing people in an effort to develop a leadership profile. Discussion ensued as to who would be interviewed and when the interviews would take place. In addition, a community forum will be held during the time Dr. Willard and Dr. Parks are interviewing members of the Board of Education and staff.
Further discussion ensued regarding the time line for interviewing candidates and when the final recommendation would be made.
It was agreed that Ms. Lynch would be the contact person for Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates, Ltd. and that the Superintendent and secretary would develop the schedule for interviewing groups to establish the leadership profile.
The dates set for Dr. Willard and Dr. Parks to be in the District interviewing are September 28th and 29th, 2000.
An opportunity was given to members of the Board of Education for questions.

There being no further business, President Lynch adjourned the meeting at 7:45 p.m.
